Its default baud rate might not be set correctly so make sure you check before clicking through to the next stage. It’s also important when running the setup utility to check baud rate. Use serial port at this point if it will let you. If you can’t select a ‘COM’ port when prompted you need to go to step 1.
You can get an up to date driver here: įollow the prompts as you install it to add Epson TM T88IV printer. Install an up to date driver, if you *haven’t* done a system restore you may need to unistall previous printer drivers for the Epson receipt printer first. If however your till has just stopped working properly after functioning correctly then a system restore might work, you need to leave the computer alone for a few minutes (go make a cup of tea/coffee).Ģ. If you’ve never had your receipt printer working on your PC/laptop then this will probably not help so don’t bother with it, if this is the case I’m afraid your printer may be faulty. System restore takes time, it winds your computer back and will erase any changes made between the last ‘system restore point’ and now.
If nothing at all is printing and you’ve worked back through steps 4 to 2 then as a precaution wind Windows back to before changes were made (using ‘system restore’).
PLEASE NOTE: I did this on a windows 7 laptop and we use AirPOS as our ePOS system, as a result some of these steps may help you but there may be differences in the layout or order compared to what I’m describing here.ġ. To save time you can start at ‘4’ and work your way back, each level here makes deeper changes to your system so start lightly.
